Three: Private J. Beale, 33rd Regiment, Late 44th Foot China 1857-60, one clasp, Taku Forts 1860 (Jerh Beale. 44th Regt.), Abyssinia (825 J. Beale, 33rd Foot) 33rd. D.W. Regt.), Army Long Service & G.C., V.R. (825. Pte J. Beale. 33rd Foot), with Beale´s original Discharge, Royal Hospital Chelsea Out Pensioner´s Certificate (both 1879), and Soldier´s Account Book Estimate £ 650-700 Private Jeremiah Beale, from Witham, Essex, attested for the 44th Regiment 1857, aged 18 years; transferred to the 33rd Regiment after four years and 360 days service and volunteered to remain with them in India; Beale was discharged in March 1879 after 21 years service, which included over 13 years abroad, and was admitted Out Pensioner to the Royal Hospital Chelsea the same year.
