James Holland [British, 1799-1870]. An interior of a fine paneled hall and staircase decorated with classical busts. Watercolor heightened with body color and scratching out. 19 ½ x 15 1/8". Signed with initials and dated '39. Holland is considered one of the finest colorists of the English School and his picture notably those of Venice are much prized. In gilt wood frame.
