1841 1d. unplated, GJ, margins all round, on entire (affixed at top-left) to London dated 17 April 1844, tied by fine light strike of the black Maltese Cross, showing another, finer strike of the black Cross which has been overstruck (framing it with almost perfect symmetry) by superb black circular undated "farringdon hants.", the reverse with Alton c.d.s.; lightly soiled horizontal fold well clear of the adhesive and markings and in no way detracting from the stunning appearance of this possibly unique item.
