Malaria 1901, and Quartan Malaria 1904, and originated control of Malaria by Species Sanitation; began anti-Malaria work at Klang, Federated Malay States, 1901; extended to rural areas 1904, and Singapore City 1911; extended to Netherland East Indies 1911, India 1923, Africa 1929, and Balkans 1930; advised the governments of Nepal, Hyderabad (Deccan), Baroda, Patiala, Bengal, Southern Rhodesia; also invented Watson's Patent Process for Rubber Tapping, and another Patent Process for control of dust in mines and the prevention of silicosis and explosions in coal mines (patented in association with Shell 1948).
