Falkner. 50th Qn's Own Regt.), good very fine Estimate £ 500-600 Captain Frederic Falkner, Ensign 50th Foot 1854; Lieutenant 1855; served in the Crimea after the fall of Sebastopol 19.9.1855 until the evacuation 12.7.1856; Captain 1864; served in the New Zealand war from 15.11.1863 which included the capture of Ranglawhia (Rangiaohia); Major 1877 and rose to Lieutenant Colonel 1881.
