Holborn, R.N); British War and Victory Medals (Payr. Lt.); Delhi Durbar, 1911, mounted as worn, extremely fine (5) Estimate £ 280-320 O.B.E. London Gazette 11.8.1919 'For services rendered as Secretary to Commodore, Hong Kong.' Paymaster Commander Arthur Savory Holborn, 1886, entered Royal Navy 1904; Paymaster Midshipman 1905; during the Great War served in H.M.S. King Edward VII from June 1914 to January 1916, until she was mined off Scotland en route to Belfast 6.1.1916; in H.M.S. Dreadnought from July to November 1916; advanced to Paymaster Lieutenant Commander 1917; Paymaster Commander 1925; retired 1927.
