Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate 8 FC, small to large margins, on entire letter from Hove to Homerton dated 16 April 1841, tied by fine strike of the black Maltese Cross, the reverse showing fine strikes of Battle and London datestamps and a superb strike of an unrecorded black circular “catsfield”; the entire with some light creasing, adhesive with some light bends though not detracting from the wonderful appearance.
