Italy An extensive and valuable, mint collection in a printed album from 1852 perforated 20c., 40c. and 80c., 1863-65 values to 2l. including 5c. greenish grey, 10c. orange-buff, 15c. pale blue and 40c. carmine, 1865 20c. on 15c. (2), 1878 2c. surcharge set of eight, 1879-82 set to 2l., 1889 set to 5l. with a good example of 45c. dull green, 1890-91 surcharge set of three, 1891-96 set to 5l. with both 5c., 1901 set including 40c. brown and 50c. mauve, 1910 Plebiscite, 1922 Philatelic Congress set, 1923 Manzoni set (5l. unmounted), 1926 Francis of Assisi 1l.25 perf.131/2, a comprehensive collection of later issues including 1945-48 set to 100l. and others to 1998; Air Mails including 1930 Trans-Atlantic Flight 7l.70 (unmounted), 1934 Rome - Mogadishu Flight with 10l. Official (unmounted), Express, Pneumatic, Officials, Postage Dues from 1863, Parcel Post from 1884-86 set of six (10c. nd 20c. unmounted), 1914-22 set to 20l., Concessional Parcel Post stamps apparently complete, Propaganda stamps and Socialist Republic. Also a section of varieties in singles and multiples (some used). An outstanding collection in exceptional condition.
