Borso d'Este (1413-1471), Duke of Ferrara and first Duke of Modena 1450. Medal. Uniface. Bronze, 52.7mm. DOMINVS BORSIVS MARCHIO ESTENSIS, Long-haired bust left wearing surcoat over hauberk. Hill 69. A uniface example, but larger than any recorded specimen. Rich brown semi-glossy patina. An Extremely Fine old cast.
