Anne (1702-1714), Pre-Union, Shilling, 1705, second draped bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, five strings to harp, angles plain, edge obliquely milled, 6.01g, 7h (Spink 3587; ESC 1391 [1134] [R2]; Pywell-Phillips -), dramatic dark tone with iridescent blue hues in recesses, a pleasingly good very fine, very rare, especially so in this condition, in NGC 'Francis' holder, graded AU53 (Cert. #5878643-018)
