Chippewa Lumber and Boom Company (Wisconsin) 1887. Chippewa Falls. 20 shares. Issued, not cancelled. No.92. Lumbermen maneuver booms (rafts) of tree trunks near a riverside lumber mill. Signed by F. F. Weyerhauser as President. Weyerhauser foresaw America's ever expanding need for wood and wood products, and he concentrated his efforts on building an empire based on lumber. Certificates signed by Weyerhauser are very rarely seen. One of perhaps two known according to our consignor. VF. Two short edge splits at the top are backed with archival tape. A small chip is missing from the left margin, and there are a few small holes in the same margin.
