Davis, Jefferson. Clipped signature on card. Jefferson Davis (June 3, 1808 - December 6, 1889) U.S. Representative and Senator from Mississippi, U.S. Secretary of War, and President of the Confederate States of America. A portion of the card is soiled, and some of the letters are faint, though readable. Difficult to authenticate in this state of preservation, but the signature certainly appears to be genuine. Sold as is.
