Bagnold, Edith (Lady Jones, 1889-1981). British author and playwright. She wrote National Velvet in 1935. TLS, 4to. Rottingdean, Sussex. May 17, 1967. Responding to a request for an autograph and photograph. She is happy to comply, noting that the recipient understood that "…such requests take up a certain amount of time, - a thing so many teachers in America don't realise." Some light pencil notations, otherwise very fine.
