An interesting series of Bills of Exchange (checks) passing through Palestine, mostly bearing Ottoman adhesive revenue stamps (before 1920) or Palestine adhesive duty stamps (post 1920), and relating to Jewish bankers/merchants, including Breisch & Co., Jaffa, 1894; Isaac Kalahi, Jaffa, 1903, payable to the German Consulate; M. Dizengoff, Jaffa, 1914; Reinhold Aberle, Jerusalem, 1913; a rare example all in Hebrew, with Palestine 10 mils stamps; W. Schocher & Co., Jerusalem, 1935; Messrs Eliahu & Son, Jerusalem, 1932; and Moise J. Cabelli, Jerusalem, 1932, the last with small hole through stamp otherwise fine to very fine and a scarce accumulation. (11)
