Pawnee Bill Oil Co. (OK), $1 shs, 1918, #160, signed by G. W. Lillie as president, oil field, gusher, tanks, and train in corners, black with gold unerprint, Goes, fold and edge wear, good VF. Gordon W "Pawnee Bill" Lillie (1860-1942) was the chief of William F "Buffalo Bill" Cody, and ran a similar traveling show, though his initially featured performers from the Far East; in the end, the competitors joined forces in a combined show.
