Titanic: Plan of First Class Accommodations Scarce White Star Line printed Plan of First Class Accommodations aboard the RMS Titanic, in black and red ink, 30" x 40", showing maps of decks A through F, with six photographs of staterooms at right and left and (at left), an artist´s rendition of the ship. Dated January 6, 1912 on verso but December 1911 on recto. Lightly toned, with minor edge and fold wear including some separation at fold junctions, but VF. The RMS Titanic made her maiden voyage on April 10, 1912, after much fanfare regarding her size and "unsinkability." After stops in Southampton and Cherbourg, she headed toward New York on April 11, but on the evening of the 14th, she struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic southeast of Newfoundland. Thought the damage appeared to be minor, plates separated along the ship´s outer hull and water began to pour in. The Titanic sank into frigid water within three hours, and out of over 2200 passengers and crew, only 710 were saved. With a July 4, 1909 menu from the Anchor Line´s TSS California, which sank in 1917. [2]
