Hawaii. 1886 Grove Ranch 12.5 Cents Token. NGC AU50. Medcalf TE-16. Perhaps one of the finest of this rare type extant with surfaces that are impeccably well-struck for the issue with smooth red-brown color on both sides. The Grove Ranch Plantation, a sugar plantation located in Haliimaile, Maui, yielded about 1,300 tons of sugar a year and spanned greater than 3,800 acres. A historic issue with a great story - an true opportunity for the collector within Hawaii numismatics.
