1840 MULREADY 1d. letter sheet, stereo missing, hand painted in water inks, the interior with printed "Society For the Extinction of the Slave Trade, and for the Civilisation of Africa" advertisement, used from London to Norwich dated 19 January 1841, cancelled by good strike of the red Maltese Cross; vertical crease and some perimeter faults though still most attractive. R.P.S. Certificate (1968) stating "impossible to say whether the hand colouring is contemporary with posting or later". (WF). Photo Estimate £ 500-600
