(18.3) and sent by the Cape of Good Hope route, ex Lange; 1839 (3 Jan.) entire to Huth in London from Russell & Sturgis via "Cleveland" with "2/-" rate mark and, on the flap, boxed "india letter/hastings" and London arrival c.d.s. (11.6). Carried overland via Gibraltar route, ex Lange; 1843 (7 Nov.) Russell & Sturgis wrapper to Huth in London by "'John Brown'" (Singapore to Suez) and rated "8" with a good strike of the step-type "ship letter/cowes" on the flap, ex Lange; and 1863 (8 Jan.) stampless entire to Paris "por 'Marsella' Suez" with a fine strike of Manila despatch c.d.s., handstruck "8", boxed "P.D." in black and "pays etr. v. suez/marseille" c.d.s.
