Edward Spiteri was born on 20 December 1875 at St Paul's in Valetta, Malta and was a musician by trade upon his joining the Royal Malta Artillery in 1905. He emigrated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and served in the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps from March 1911. Spiteri took his Permanent Forces of the Empire Beyond the Seas L.S. & G.C. in November 1920; sold together with copied research.
