Arthur Lewis Rowe was born at Floriana, Malta in March 1910 and enlisted into the Royal Army Medical Corps in Malta on 5 March 1930. Serving on 'Trooping Duties' from September 1935 until March 1937, during the Second World War he went with the British Expeditionary Force to France from September 1939, being taken off (probably from Dunkirk) on 28 May 1940.

Latterly serving on Gibraltar from July 1942 to December 1946, he thence went out to the Far East from December 1947 until December 1950 and served in Malaya (Medal & clasp). Rising to be a Corporal Nursing Orderley, he was released in 1954 and returned to live in Hanrum, Malta. Rowe died at Luqa on 20 August 1989; sold together with Certificate of Service and portrait photograph.
