British War Medal 1914-20 (10074 Pte. A. Gauci. K. O. Malta M.), good very fine, with a pressed silver G.R. emblem

Arturo Gauci was born at Stella Maris, Sheima, Malta in 1894 and was a hotel keeper upon his enlistment in October 1914. During the Great War he served in Malta from October 1914 to January 1915, in Cyprus from January until August 1915 and thence home in Malta. He was discharged in July 1919 and this represents his Sole Entitlement for the Great War.
