A 29th Punjabis Silver Presentation Trophy
Comprising an Indian soldier standing to attention wearing a Great War other ranks combat uniform with Sergeant stripes to the right arm and wound stripes to the lower left arm, with a 'Trio' to the left breast, boots and puttees, additionally wearing 1908 Pattern webbing (part set) and holding an S.M.L.E. rifle, hallmarked 'B & F Ltd 1923, this mounted on a wooden stand to the front a silver plaque, this with applied King's crown, the numerals '29' and 'Punjabis' in riband, below this the following inscription 'Major C. W. J. Smith. D.S.O. Served 9th October 1901 to 30th April 1922 Regiment Converted to Training Battalion 1st May 1922, engraved, hallmarked B & F Ltd 1922, total height 50cm, housed in fitted wooden storage box for transportation with carrying handle and lockable door, polished in parts otherwise good overall condition
