Thomas Henry Davies served in France with the 13th Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers. Their War Diary notes that this award stems from '...good work during the bombardment of our front line on the 30 May 1916 (at Moated Grange, Laventie).'
He was latterly commissioned into the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (Training Branch) and is listed with his post-nominals on the 1947 Air Force List.
