George Parsons Hann was born at Haydon, Sherborne, Dorset in January 1876 and joined the Royal Marines Light Infantry at Yeovil in July 1895. Having taken his L.S. & G.C. in September 1910, during the Great War he took the Pair only for his services. He was with the Royal Marine Labour Corps and was pensioned in December 1917, taking his M.S.M. for services with the Royal Naval Transport Service. Made a Lieutenant in March 1920, Hann died in September 1948; sold together with a good archive of original documents, including Service Record, Warrants as Warrant Officer Class 1 and Lieutenant, photograph, besides various letters.
