D.S.M. London Gazette 6 April 1918: The recommendation states: 'HMT Magneta Galway Auxiliary Patrol 1917. Periodic award for service in the Auxiliary Patrol between 1 January and 31 December 1917'.

Thomas Dudley Sewell born at London on 9 January 1887 enlisted in the Royal Naval Reserve at Milford Haven on 9 December 1914. He was serving on Magneta when he was awarded the D.S.M. Sewell was demobilised on 12 June 1919.
