A Private Horace Roberts served with the 1st Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment in Burma and is registered with the Burma Star Association. An officer by the name of Horace Maurice Roberts was commissioned Lieutenant and Quartermaster on 26 February 1946. He is listed as dropping the appointment of Quartermaster in 1949 serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps (Administrative and Technical) leaving him with the rank of Lieutenant. It is not clear whether this is the same man or whether he served with the Indian Army at some stage.
