Samuel Baker was born in 1870 and was from Ilkeston, Derbyshire. He enlisted on 22 October 1914 and first entered the war in Egypt on 8 May 1915 and was later discharged on 15 March 1919 as being no longer physically fit for service. He is entitled to a 1915 Star Trio and a Silver War badge (B336770). He was given the service number 416086.
