Francis William Fozzard was born at Leeds, Yorkshire on 8 November 1895 and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 1 August 1911. With the outbreak of the Great War, he was serving on Tyne from 4 August 1914 - 28 November 1917, he then served on Pembroke between 29 November 1917 - 18 January 1918. Fozzard then served on Blake from 19 January 1918 - 17 September 1918 before briefly serving on Warspite between 18 September 1918 -27 February 1919. He was discharged on 15 January 1920 and joined the Royal Fleet Reserve on 17 May 1921. He died in 1965 at Southend, Essex.
