Charles Wall was born at Ash, Kent on 6 August 1876 and was a dairyman before he joined the Royal Navy as a Stoker 2nd Class on 10 February 1899 and reached the rank of Stoker Petty Officer on 10 May 1907. His Great War service saw him serve on Blenheim between 5 May 1914 - 3 March 1915 and then served on Pembroke II between 4 March 1915 - 21 June 1915. He then served on Anemone between 22 June 1915 - 14 December 1918. His final ship was Victorious which he served aboard from 13 May 1919 until he was discharged on 28 December 1919.
