Robert Jefferson Paterson Campbell was born in Ireland in August 1894 and during the Great War served in France from 1 May 1915 with the Manchester Regiment. Having transferred to Mesopotamia and taken his 'mention', Campbell served during the British Military Mission to South Russia at the conclusion of the Great War. Noted on the Staff of the Railway Advisory Unit, he had his Medals issued to him at Elm Villa, Balls Bridge, Dublin.
Campbell was living at Erpingham, Norfolk by 1939 and died at London in 1952.
