Note 19 Bechuanaland clasps were issued to the Transport Corps.

William Fredman served initially with the Bechuanaland Border Police listing his address as 'B.B. Police, Mafeking'. He appears to have migrated north, earning a rare Bechuanaland clasp to the Transport Corps before joining E' Squadron, Rhodesian Regiment on the outbreak of the Anglo-Boer War Transferring to 'E’ Division, South African Constabulary on 1 November 1900 he was to service with them until 10 December 1901. Having been discharged Fredman could not resist the call of duty one final time and joined the Cape Colonial Forces on 31 December, serving until 31 May 1902, sold together with copied research.
