Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque (Algernon Bruce Roberts), extremely fine

Algernon Bruce Roberts was the son of Ephraim John and Sarah Jane Roberts, of Meppershall, Shefford, Bedfordshire. He was born and enlisted at Manchester and entered the war in France on 20 October 1915 and was killed in action on 25 September 1916, whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial and is further entitled to a 1914-15 Star Trio.
