A Victory Medal awarded to Private J. Gilchrist, Scottish Rifles who was awarded a Military Medal whilst attached to the Yorkshire Light Infantry

John Gilchrist first entered the war in France on 4 January 1915. He additionally served as 38410 with the Yorkshire Light Infantry and 29098 with the Royal Scots. He was awarded the Military Medal whilst serving with the 8th Battalion Yorkshire Light Infantry attached to 70th Infantry Brigade Headquarters.
