Jesse Dibble was born at Egham, Surrey and was a turncock by trade living at Cumberland Lodge, Windsor. He had served with the 1st V.B. Royal Berkshire Regiment before he attested into the Royal Berkshire Regiment at Reading on 1 February 1900 and served at Home until 15 March 1900. He then served in South Africa between 16 March 1900 - 8 June 1901, before finally serving at Home between 9 June 1901 - 16 June 1901.
