(x) Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Rhodesia, Orange Free State, Transvaal (12479 Tpr: N. Rothwell. 67th Coy 18th Imp: Yeo:), nearly extremely fine
Norman Walter Rothwell was born in Egariski, Bluestem, Russia circa 1879 and worked as an apprentice engineer before enlisting into the 67th (Sharpshooters) Company, 18th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry on 26 February 1900. However, upon its dissolution, he subsequently served with the 117th Company, 25th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry from the 25 September 1901. For his first month with his new regiment, he served at home. He was then deployed in South Africa between 16 October 1901 - 30 August 1902 before completing one final month at home before discharging from service on 7 September 1902. He was further entitled to the King's South Africa Medal with both clasps.
