Ellis Heton Fealey was born at Holstein, Germany in 1863 and joined the 51st Foot in September 1878, his rank noted as 'Lad'. Made Private in February 1880, he served in the East Indies from September 1879-December 1887 (Medal & 2 clasps). Fealey was discharged with an L.S. & G.C. medal in February 1905. He had been appointed Bandsman in December 1884, which he served at until August 1890. Fealey appears to have returned to the fold during the Great War, with a man of this name serving with the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in France from July 1915 (No. 12082 - 1914-15 Star Trio).
