(x) Royal Fleet Reserve L.S. & G.C., G.VI.R. (J.105827 (Ch. B. 24139) F.A. White. L.S. R.F.R.), good very fine

Frederick Alfred White was born in Oundle, Northamptonshire on 21 October 1906 and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class, when he was about 16 years old, serving with H.M.S. Ganges from 14 March 1922 and being advanced Boy 1st Class with her that October. He was later promoted Ordinary Seaman on 20 April 1924 and to Able Seaman on 25 February 1925, both whilst serving aboard H.M.S. Benbow. White was next rated Acting Leading Seaman with Valiant in January 1931 and to Leading Seaman one year later with Pembroke I.

White joined the Royal Fleet Reserve on 21 October 1936, but with the onset of the Second World War was not to enjoy the Reserve for long. He was mustered for service with Pembroke III from 28 September 1938, and during the war was stationed aboard Calypso, Nile and Formidable. with his final posting being with Pembroke I from 3 October 1941; sold together with copied research.
