Lawrence George Prince was born at Rockhampton, Queensland on 8 February 1931. Enlisting with the Royal Australian Regiment, he embarked with the MS Georgic for Singapore, arriving on 8 October 1955. Posted to Malaya he served there from 20 October to 7 February 1956 he left there with the temporary rank of Sergeant. Seeing further service in the Korean War Prince survived his service and died at Brisbane in June 1994; sold together with copied research.

Further entitled to the General Service Medal 1918-62 with clasp, Malaya.
