John Alfred Thomas Kearns enlisted with the Territorial Army on 12 May 1939, he served initially with the King's Shropshire Light Infantry until 22 January 1941 when he was transferred to the Reconnaissance Corps. Kearns is listed as Wounded in Action at a date not recorded, however other wounds in the report occurred between 15-16 October 1944. He returned to the King's Shropshire Light Infantry on 29 March 1945 and was demobilised on 11 March 1946; sold together with copied research.
