Ronald Carl Stephen Folley was born on 13 March 1911 and was a resident of Cardiff. He was an Accountant before he was called up for military service on 19 September 1942, his regimental number is for the Wiltshire Regiment however he served as a Plotter and was attached to 443/133 LAA Regiment Royal Artillery. He later transferred to the 86th Hertfordshire Yeomanry Field Regiment, whom landed at Gold Beach on D-Day 6 June 1944 and was transferred to the Army Reserve on 2 November 1946.
