Sidney Gordon was born at Lambeth, London on 14 January 1918 and enlisted at Bethnal Green into the Royal Engineers on 9 May 1939. He was transferred to the Army Reserve on 23 March 1946. Gordon applied for his medals in 1950 and they were sent to him at 164 Sewardstone Rd, Bishops Way, London E. 2..
