James Arthur Walker was born at Timperley, Cheshire and attested Altrincham, entering the war in France at some stage after 1916. He was posted as Missing at Limberg on 24 August 1918 and his death was officially accepted four days later on 28 August; sold together with copied research.

Albert Thompson was born at St. Peter's, Herefordshire and attested at Hereford, entering the war in France with 6th Battalion, King's Own Shropshire Light Infantry on 24 July 1915. They saw action at the Battle of Loos in 1915 and were posted to confront the German spoiling attack being launched at Mount Sorrel in late May 1916. They continued to hold the line there as the Somme offensive began, Thompson was killed in action there on 30 June 1916 and is buried at Vlamertinghe Military Cemetery; sold together with copied research.
