John R Summers was born at Dundee in 1881 and attested on 13 November 1899, he was posted to Gibraltar and caught Pneumatic Fever there and returned home. He was then posted to the Army Reserve on 14 November 1902. Returning to service on 10 August 1914, he entered the war in France on 8 November of that year but soon reported sick again. Returning home again he died there and was buried at Aberdeen (St. Peter's) Cemetery in 1916; sold together with copied research.

William George Arnold was born at St. John's, Sussex, the son of William and Millicent Arnold of 33 North Street, Lewes, Sussex. Enlisting at Chichester with the Royal Sussex Regiment, he entered the war in France with them on 12 August 1914. He was mortally wounded there and died on 12 May 1915 and was buried at Lillers Communal Cemetery; sold together with copied research.

Percival Corney Newman was born at East Preston, Sussex and enlisted at Chichester, entering the war in France on 12 August 1914. He was wounded at some stage during the next year and afterwards killed in action on 9 May 1915, being buried at Le Touret Memorial; sold together with copied research.
