General Service 1918-62, 2 clasps, Malaya, Arabian Peninsula, with M.I.D. oak leaf (22965907 Sgt. R. W. Scott. R. Lincolns.), mounted as worn, official corrections, very fine

[O.B.E.] London Gazette 12 June 2004 (having been made M.B.E. in June 1996):

'For services to British veterans in Cameroon.'

M.I.D. London Gazette 20 December 1957.

Richard Walter Scott earned the scarce clasp 'Arabian Peninsula', of which just around 100 were understood to have gone to the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment. Scott was further rewarded with the Order of Merit of Cameroon for his good services; a replacement GSM is understood to have been issued but this is clearly the original.
