(x) General Service 1918-62, 1 clasp, Iraq (104505 Bmbr. J. A. Pettigrew. R.A.), slightly polished, very fine

John Abraham Pettigrew joined the Army on 12 May 1906 initially as a Driver, before switching to being a Gunner with the Royal Field Artillery. He was later sent to the Western Front on 14 October 1914 and was further entitled to the 1914 Star Trio. He was later promoted to Bombardier and continued to serve with the R.F.A. after the war until he was discharged due to no longer being fit for service on 30 May 1921.
