John Alfred Robinson attested for service with the East Africa Mechanical Transport Corps on 17 February 1917 and is further entitled to the Victory Medal; the forwarding address on his M.I.C. notes: 'c/o Muthaiga Club, Nairobi'.

Leonard Percival Marshall was born in Bermondsey, London, on 1 June 1893 and appears to have travelled to British East Africa circa 1912. Initially working as an office clerk for Boustead & Clarke Ltd., he travelled around East Africa (spending time in Uganda and Tanganyika) and eventually became an office manager and accountant for Brooke Bond teas. Serving with the East Africa Ordnance Department during the Great War, he is further entitled to the Victory Medal and in 1919 was noted as the Secretary of the Mombasa Swimming Club. Marshall died at Port Shepstone, Natal, South Africa on 15 June 1965.
