(x) Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Relief of Ladysmith (2476: Sapr O. G. Barnes. R. E.), some contact marks to obverse field, otherwise very fine

Owen Gilbert Barnes with born in Ashley, Newmarket in Cambridgeshire in 1879 and enlisted into the army in 1898. He joined the 45th Company, Royal Engineers, in the Boer War. Barnes was also eligible for the King's South Africa Medal and 2 clasps.
