Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, South Africa 1902 (38985 Tpr: H. Freeman. 137th Coy Imp: Yeo:), suspension slightly bent, otherwise light contact marks very fine (2)

Charles Thomas Woodland was born at St. Johns, Ryde Hampshire and was a Schoolmaster prior to enlisting into the Imperial Yeomanry at Canterbury on 8 January 1900, he served with the 33rd (East Kent) Company, 11 Battalion Imperial Yeomanry. Woodland served in South Africa between 28 February - 15 July 1900. During this time, he had Enteric Fever and was admitted to Hospital on 3 July 1900. He returned Home on 16 July 1900 and was sent to Netley Hospital on 5 - 20 August 1900 and was discharged on 31 October 1900.
