(x) Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 1 clasp, Cape Colony (2272 Serjt: W. Marsh. N. Staff: Regt), minor edge bruising otherwise fine

W. March served with the 4th Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment. He was not eligible for the King's South Africa Medal. However, he was granted the Queen's Sudan Medal for his involvement in operations in Dongola in 1896 and the Khedive's Sudan Medal, with Hafir clasp.
